Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of the town she grew up in. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder, who considers herself Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. Her half-siblings are younger, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family relocated to Mendocino County to California at the age of seven years old. The town didn't even have electricity. There was no television books was her only source of entertainment to spend the time and she began to read extensively. At the age of 12 Ryder joined the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. When she was 15years old, Ryder was offered her first part on screen, in Lucas. Ryder was bullied throughout high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor, her bullying could be reduced. But, unfortunately, that didn't happen. However, it didn't stop her from making plans for her future. In 1988, she received her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder kept playing successful roles in various films. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her role in The Age of Innocence (1993).
